Big Silver Hydro Project – Harrison Hot Springs, BC
Montana Fabrication Works Corporation fabricated 4200’ of 12’ diameter 1/2” wall penstock for this project. The penstock
was fabricated in 60’ sections complete with stulling and delivered to the jobsite by our fleet of
heavy haul trucks and specialty penstock trailers.
Montana Fabrication Works produced 1528 tons of penstocks and elbows for this project which was 100% visual
inspected & UT tested. The interior & exterior was coated with 25 mils of Carboline Polyclad 777.
The Big Silver Creek Hydroelectric Facility is a 40.6 MW generation project located on Big Silver Creek
River, east of Harrison Lake and approximately 45 km north of Harrison Hot Springs, British Columbia.
